All charged up....
Just installed an Optima Red Top and a 200 amp alternator. Figured I post some pics of the alternator since there doesn't seem to be many pics posted.
No more dropping of the volt meter since the alternator upgrade. One thing I did notice is the new alternator has one less mounting boss. The bolt that holds from the back is not used. Also, the plastic air duct looking piece on the stock one won't fit due to the larger electronics. The stock alternator looks puny in comparison.

That's right. Each alternator comes with a birth sheet or dyno record. My alternator data says it puts out 137 amps at an engine rpm of 833 and 175 amps at 1000 rpm. It has a peak output of 245 amps at 2888 rpm. PM's sent to those that requested it.

Is this the kind that is 100 amps at idle then rev it up a little above idle then 200amps ? pm need here 2 thanks champ
