Well let me start bye sayin i was street racin and i dont wanna hear it. we was at a car show yesterday and well after the car show me and a couple of freinds were hanging out and one of my friends owns a 05 mustang was talkin to the other guy with the procharged stang well after bout 5 mins my buddy comes over and says there you an 05 you can run, i was like ok. Well apparantly the guy who owns the stang was bein cocky sayin he wanted to run any camaro or t/a. well he came over and said im makin 540 rwhp on 10#s of boost and i was like do you have internal work and he told me no so I was like bs so he continues to tell me hes never been beat by a camaro or t/a well we decide on a 35 roll. we go to run and and he says for me to take the jump when i hit it i was expeceting him to pull on me or somethin but when i looked back i had 3 or 4 cars on him then i shut down. well we go again and i let him have the move and put prolly 4 or 5 on him . well we stop and he said there no way a cam only camaro just beat him luckly my fiance was thewre and she is the one who approves all the parts,told him its just a cam. thats my good kill for the month

Great kill,most the 05 stock GT owners i come across think they have the fastest car ever made,i cant even imagine one with a procharger.Sounds like the kill was bitter sweet.

That is what usually happens with cocky owners, they usually always always lose. It is amazing what a cam only LS1 will do. I really need to buy one.

Saw one at the 1/8 mile track on slicks and skinny's with a blower best time he could get was a 7.9 and he almost lost it at one time.

LOL. Nice kill. Most of the Procharged 05s and up seem to be in the mid 400s. Not mid-500s. Throw in your weight and aero advantage and the cam, and he had better know how to row.

Had my motor built by TSS in Orange. With 6-8lbs the new stangs are making 440-480rwhp so if he has 10lbs then its buyable. The problem is they aren't reliable past 460-475. Either way you would think it would have turned out differently but obviously you murdered him. Nice kill.

i beleive it 100 percent. i beat a procharged stang when my car had nothing but exhaust and filter. straight murdered him from a roll. he was all, "my tune is no good". im like, "i guess my stock tune is a shiner!" id like to see what i would do to that guy with my current setup. straight mayhem. If you dont know the actual definition of mayhem, it basically means the gore of dismembering a body. thats how bad it would be lol.

Ls1 guys are the cockiest guys out there. There's no way a cam only LS1 would beat a properly tuned pro charged 3v Mustang. I enjoy beating LS1's in my S197 because they don't think they can lose. After a car is no longer stock, the only thing that matters is what u have done to your car. I can certainly beleive you beat them, as you car must go pretty good. 401rwhp on a Mustang dyno would be around 430rwhp on a Dynojet.

A while back I was speaking to someone with a s197 bolt ons and a procharger, think they where running around 9psi and making a claimed 490rwhp (it seemed a little high by my reasoning as a sn95 would have been struggling around 420rwhp on a dynojet with the same mods and the 3v unit isn't 70rwhp better I wouldn't have thought.

They where only managing 12.9's also but I think that was down to the driver. More suprisingly they where only trapping 116mph. Which for a car weighing 3600lb and have near 500rwhp is pretty pathetic. More proof that the rwhp number claimed was inaccurate.

I can well beleive a well sorted Stang can be FAST, very fast. There are plenty out there. But so many people have no clue and just guess bhp based on the number of $$$$ they've spent :lol:

I posted that because I knew it would get a sour reaction out of those that think the LS1 is invinsible. Surprisingly, your statement here shows a little common sense. I work with a guy with a Cammed Camaro SS in addition to full exhaust and some other things. I know how fast Cammed LS1 cars are. If it's only Cammed, it won't beat a boosted 3v Mustang GT, unless it has some weak 6psi Saleen or Roush blower. If it's KB'd or Procharged, It's a lot different. Those things work really well. The guy that drove the GT should turn over his keys and buy a Ford Taurus or something because he doesn't know how to handle his ride.

Ive never said the ls1 was invinsiable nor have I said I think I cant loose I have a good friend with a procharged 04 mustang and he would kill me from a dig but i win from a roll regardless if jesus himself was drivin the 05 I would have drug his ass just like I drug him. the car was a turd I dont know how else to put it im not gonna sugar coat it. when you put upwards of 4 and 5 cars on a vehicle its been drug. My biased opinion I have onced owned a 03 gt mustang and I like it better than the 05. I test drove the 05 and i can see why I beat a procharged one they are heavy boats. i offer this if there is another sc 05 in the area of orange and beaumont and lake charles Iwill go run from a 35 roll same as before and its on stock internals and see how that turns out

I think that would depend very much on each individual setup. There are some extreme cam only setups running 10's, albeit with a decent amount of weight reduction.

Second, THEBIGTHREE Why is it so hard to believe a cammed LS1 can beat a 05 gt with a S/C? Arent cammed LS1's (Properly built and set up) beating 03/04 terminator Cobra's?

The fact is that you may have 5XX rwhp, but you have to take into consideration: Weight, Over all Tuning, and most important, the Driver. If ya cant row, then your slow!
