Default Help Me Please!!!!!

01 SS A4, 3.23, 275/40 falken ziex, hooker LTs, O-R Y, catback, tuned for 93 octane, SLP lid with ram air and K&N. Best of 13.3@105. R/T was .344 and 60' was 2.0. Damnit. There were several people at the track that recognized my car, they new the previous owner's name so I'm sure they were tellin the truth. One guy said he was real good friends with the guy and that he had made a pass in the car himself. I asked for details, he said it had Nitto 555 Rs when he made a pass in it and he got a 12.8 out of it. Then this other guy in a 01 Z28 said that when his car had 555Rs on it his best was 13.3 so I wasn't doin that bad. He said that when he switched from the Nittos to ET Streets he ran consistent 13.0. He also has a 3000 stall, cutout, TB from a 6.0 truck(said it worked better than his stock ported one), and ofcourse the ET Streets. What tire do YOU GUYS think I should go with? My ultimate goal is to run 12.99 or better without stall or 3.73s. Oh, and this was in if I remember correctly 91 degrees and nasty amount of humidity. I'm bringing it back one more time when it cools off a good bit (50-60 degrees unless you all suggest otherwise) because the track (RedRiverRaceway) is open year round. I'll be sadly disappointed if I come back home without atleast 12.99 on one of my timeslips. SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!!!!

Oh yeah, I know that all the magazines manage to get 13.0 out of the new GTO 6.0litre. However I realize this is in ideal conditions just like the published time for a SS being 13.2. I SLAUGHTERED two brand new GTOs last night repeatedly. The stock one got a best of 14.5 while the one with exhaust managed a 14.0. If the conditions(heat, altitude, sea level, humidity)here made that car an entire second slower than it's published time, shouldn't my car automatically run mid 12s because it wasn't even a race when I lined up with them. Also a brand new WRX STI ( which are tested by the magazines to go 13.1 stock ) Ran consistant 13.9 passes all night.

One more thing. Are the magazine tests for these cars BS or just done in the best possible conditions: I.E. cold weather, perfect altitude, warm track temp, extensive track prep?

Yes I learned the same thing when i took mine to the strip. I was at a little above sea level in 100=+ degree temps and all I could pull was 13.5 at 103 in an a4! I was so mad, I was hoping to dip into the 12's
