Default Confused about PI converters( and yank too)

I will be in the market for a TC soon. I have read a few times that PI converters are rated less than the actual stall... the actual stall is several hundred RPM greater....so if I buy a Vig 3600 am I really getting a 3800-4000 stall? Or if i buy a Yank SS3600 it is actually a 3600 stall?

Like i said, I'm confused

Yanks ratings are very accurate. The Vigilante converters are the only ones i've heard of like that.

I agree. I think it's very strange (about the PI ratings.. ).

pi's ratings are like that because they base theirs off of what it will stall at on a transbrake. true stall ratings.
