Default Tune after LT's

I need a few things done. Im running rich, gas milage was bad. Plus the !AIR, !EGR, !CATS. How much does that run? Does it cost more to have the AFR changed? I dont want a dyno tune. I just want it drivable and streetable. This is really directed too the local sponsors. I know there are a few shops out here.
Thanks

500 bucks at MTI. They did a hell of a job. All I have on the car is a lid, ls6 intake and headers.

I dont want a dyno tune jsut because its not needed. Ill eventually do a moderate H/C and intake. Thats when the dyno tune comes.
And id rather have a reputable shop do my tune than some dude from katy lol.

if all you are doing is afr for headers there will be no diff. also some shops will retune for free if you come back after mods.

I had G-Force do my initial tune to help me get rid of a detonation problem. I went back to them to install my LT headers and they re-tuned it at no additional charge. I'm not sure if they still do lifetime tunes, but it's definitely worth the investment to find a shop that will do that, IMO.

whats wrong with a person doing a tune rather than a shop? My tune was done by a guy in houston who did a HELL of a job! And he has tuned LOTS of LS1 vehicles. And it was done for a lot less than any shop i priced. Dont be so quick to overlook the little man.....

my friend just got his headers and lid 99 SS tuned at SQR. picked up 23 hp. and it got rid of some hesitation and richness that hadn't been worked out by the stock ECU. Definately worth it IMO. Oh and they knocked off 100 bucks b/c it was "just headers".

awesome. i will keep you in mind when i am ready for a lifetime tune. i just need to optimise what i have right now. i can go without a tune, but would rather see first hand what it can do first. but when its time for a cam, ill deffinately go to a sponsor.

Just a little update, Eric (aka E.S.R.) tuned it for a great price and did a good job. I just pulled of 19mpg, mostly short city trips, without an exhaust, and a noob m6 driver. Not to bad IMO.

I want to get it dyno'd, and maybe pick up a dyno tune as well after I finish a few more mods, for that ill either go to HPE, GForce, or Connleys
