Default Question on Cat removal.

Has any one removed the cats with stock manifolds and experienced any negatives. I am thinking of having them removed for some extra power and I understand I will get some codes on the dash but I will be getin headers and cam and tune before I get emission tested again so thats not a problem. Did any one lose gas milage do to O2's not working like factory or have any poor running? Thanks in advance.

I did it when I still had stock manifolds. I put 02 sims in so I saw no neg. And it actually sounds pretty damn good with the stock muffler and no cats. It really woke up my exhaust tone! Your mpg will be effected if you dont put in sims or have the code deleted.
