Default 2006 Monte Carlo SS Vs. 2001 Mustang gt

The other day i was driving home from work and out of nowhere this P.O.S mustang gets on my A$$ flashing his lights at me (it's 10:30pm). He pulls up next to me going about 45 and guns it. He puts a car on me and i just laugh. We get up to the next light and i roll down my window and ask him if he wants to race. He said sure on green and rolled up his window. when the light changes i put it in second and punch it. i spin a little but i can hear him spinning a BUNCH! i put a car on him all the way until i switch to third at 75 then i pull to 2-3 car lengths. We shut down at 105-110 and i can look over and all i see is his FACE!! He is SHOCKED that this FWD vehicle just SCHOOLED HIM!!! I try to slow down enough to get next to him to talk but he turns off and gives me the Finger!!! i wish i could have asked him what it felt like to have his RWD vehicle get EATEN ALIVE by my 303 hp FWD. Good race anyway though!

thats not suprising....good kill. But a mustang with the same hp levels will beat you easily.

If he can drive, yes he should get ya. I'm havin a hard time believin that you can stay that close from 30, stock 05's give stock f-body's a good run. It's usually a driver race. Have you been to the track with the monte?

Perhaps with a sleeping driver. Many people are putting 3-4 lengths on stock '05 GTs in their LS1s.

yea, i've taken it to the track a couple of times....The best i've run yet is a 13.8 @ 101. Thats with an 1/4 tank of gas and no spare or jack. just me windows up a/c off. I got alot of 14.0's and the worst i got was my first time with a 14.6 @ 96 mph. The cars fast but kinda difficult to launch. I've ordered a CAI and HP tuners. Once i take out the torque management and up my gear shifts to 6300 rpms from 5800 rpms i'm taking it back to the track. Hopefully that'll knock of some tenths.

oh my friend with the 05 gt is a girl and it's auto. She's not the best driver ever, either. Totalled 3 cars in the last year and a half. We'll see how long it takes her to wreck the tang.

Crap That'll take out pretty much any stock 99+ Mustang GT. You won't beat an 05+ Mustang GT from a roll though. I'm really surprised by the 13.8 sec. pass. What was your 60' on that pass?

Those are some crazy runs. Nice win. I know quite a few Grand Prix GXPs that are dipping into the high 13s with paper filter.

thanks. my next job is to try and get some nos in her. there's a place where i live that will do it but i don't know the cost yet. Anyone know about how much a 50 or 75 wet shot will set me back? New setup and all??? And if anyone knows about how much that'll make her put down at the wheels. (FWD I know) and maybe how much that'll shave off in the quarter. Thanks ahead of time

umm the 05s are not going to stay close with a stockish ls1 enless you call 3-4 cars close
