Default 10-spoke SS camaro rims help

I am in the process of converting my 1998 z28 into an SS and i have been wanting the original 10 spoke ss camaro rims, but i want them in chrome and all i can find are aluminum ones. Can any give me some ideas where to look? i've checked SLP, RK sport, ebay, pretty much everywhere.

I say get dome tt2's and make it an Intimidator SS. Definitely one of the best looking SS that has ever came out, besides the Dick Herrel.

well obviously not EVERY chrome 10 spoke SS wheel is pitting/flaking. i used to have a near perfect set as well, but the majority of those SS wheels have problems. do a search. many people have complained aobut it.

My Chrome SS wheels have been on my car for 6 years, they look as good as new. Sometimes It might be a matter of how well people take care of their stuff..

Exactly what i was thinking

Dont change your mind about the chrome 10 spoke wheels you'll be very pleased with them, IMO the best looking stock wheel. Also with being harder to find (not on ebay), there will be less of them rolling around. As for the chrome quality my bro has had them on his Z for 4 years and when i got my brand new chrome z06's his looked just as good and new. Very nice wheel.

If SLP still had their old forums online, you'd see there was an absolutely ungodly number of people complaining. SLP's old forums were also 99% garage queens, and some of these cars were a year or two old and owned by people who drove their cars infrequently enough to make it worthwhile to clean the underside of their cars.

There was a definate quality problem with the chrome 10 spokes.

Regarding getting them from GM... I'm pretty sure chrome 10-spokes were a Y2Y option, so they're technically an SLP part. If you can't get them from SLP, you're going to have to find them used.

My 01 with 39k miles has chrome flaking, pitting and peeling. I take very good care of my car and it's garaged. I only washed the wheels with car wash soap and water and dried them with a cotton towel. I got tired of it and decided to take them off before they got worse so I got some chrome Z06's

If someone wants to trade a set of gunmetal or black 17x11 and 17x9 with decent non-drag racing tires, I'd trade my flake-less chrome 10 spokes.

That's too bad they f-ed up the chrome on those wheels. I'd not heard before today that the chrome was bad. Too bad, they're good looking wheels.

You're right. even the peeling wasn't noticable unless you were up close and I mean bent over looking for it. I knew it was there though so I replaced them. Now they are in my basement collecting dust. I'll figure out what to do with them eventually.
