How am i chirping every gear?
Whenever it gets around 90+ here in chicago, i can chirp every gear, its weird. I baught the car used about 5 months ago and it appears to be stock. Its an 01 ss a4 with 19k miles. im not complaining or anything, lol but is there any explanation for this???? my tires have about 60% tread left.

check your air pressure they could be set very high which would explain the chriping of every gear if its good you just have a fast car and maybe some mods you didn't know about

I had Remington XT120's on my SS when I got it ( I know I know) so one of the first things I did was snag some better tires, I went with 275-45-17 BFG G-Force KDWS's all the way around. I remember this cause I was braggin to my buddy that it would rip second pretty easy..( this was when it had the old tires) He calls BS so I grab him, tell him to strap in and go to prove it,...........NADA.
I make MULTIPLE attempts. He's laughing at me still. between his fat *** and the new tires ( the installer set them at 30 psi too, didnt find that out til later) nothing doin..
So I would say after reading your post, possibly tire pressure is high, or shift pressures have been altered, kit or a handheld. Just my 2 cents.

chirp 3rd into 4th?? lol...at 140mph? somehow that doesn't seem possible. My car would rarely hit 3rd gear scratch with the line pressure up all the way with the 3.23s...seemed hard enough especially since 3rd gear isn't until 85mph. with 4.10s it'll shift at 65mph into 3rd which makes 3rd gear scratches pretty common.
and i'd keep my tires right around 30...not 44 btw.

im not chirping them at 140 mph, when im in 3rd (city driving) and at about 30 mph about 3 quarters down, i get a chirp for about a second-2 seconds......as for WOT, from a stop then WOT (after warming up tires) tiny chirp(grips right away) --2nd-- large chirp----3rd---tiny chirp----4th-----tiny chirp...................if i dont do a burnout, they will just sit there and smoke, then the car spin sideways

As for the chirpinng in all gears, is that under normal driving or under hard exceleration? Your tune could be a little off. The tuner can change your line pressure demand for your shifts. If it is set too high, then you will have chirping, and that's actually hard on the tranny.
