Default Need distance: Release bearing to P. Plate

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might know the correct distance from the face of the release bearing to the pressure plate fingers that it makes contact with. If you do not have this information, knowing of a technical journal or manual where I could find this would be great.

Thanks guys, GS

Doe anyone have their car apart enough to take measurements? Is the release bearing in contact with the pressure plate at all while sitting (clutch released)? If not, how far away is it? If contacting the pressure plate, how much contact or finger deflection is there?

This is an application with a T56 and LS1 slave cylinder but not an LS1 motor.

Thanks,

gs
