The Mobil non-synthetic has been a very good fluid for years for the vast majority of street driven vehicles. For a synthetic, Amsoil has proven itself to be one of the best, with Redline doing well also. For severe duty, high horsepower, road racing, Monolec 7500 from Lubrication Engineers is the best I have seen.

any Dexron Mercon III will be fine. there is minimally any difference if any between brands. my trans builder said that Napa Dexron would be fine. I have run Valvoline and Castrol.

I use Castrol DexIII because it's one that has
good anti-chatter additives ("meets all"). With
an aftermarket converter and a non-standard
clutch material system you want to find a fluid
that minimizes chattering, hooting, etc. on soft
applies.

I've had good luck with TCI's racing fluid. Supposedly has foam inhibiters and actually lowers fluid temp (whatever) but it has worked well for me.

I use what ever I run across as long as it's DEX111.
It's pretty much all the same stuff.
