Cats are required everywhere in the US on newer cars, this is a FEDERAL law. You are just getting away with it becase of the lack of inspection.

WHat was said above is legallt and technically true...But...

Currently in OK they do not do inspections, I ahve not ran cats for several years now after messing with GM and their idoits techs that refused to reaplce my cats as a pair which forced me into the dealer several times to have the alternate cat replaced when it flowed inproperly compaired to the newer cat.

The state is talking heavily on bringing the inspection program back due to the amount of cars that are on the road that are not being taken care of and are being driver unsafely due to no inspection.

For now you are safe, but it could change in the next year or so.

Default Cats in ok

even if they do get inspections back they dont actually run your

vehicle on the rollers. They just do a visual inspection to make

sure no check engine lights are on and make sure that all the

emmision devices are still present.. most of the techs werent able

to flag enought to do the inspections and all they did was make sure

your chk eng light wasnt aon nad your lights and horn worked and

they passed yah.
