A stock LS2 intake has narrow runners where it bolts up to the cylinder heads. Those that have properly ported the runners have reported that the intake comes very close to the FAST 90mm intake once this is resolved. It still has casting mismatch issues and the inside of the intake still has ledges while the FAST 90 is smoth inside, your call if you want to try to save a few $$$.
If you're LS1 is near stock, the LS6 intake should work fine for you. If you have a larger cam, free flowing exhaust, aftermarket heads, etc - A ported LS2 or FAST 90mm intake should help you out.
LS2 guys have been reporting 10 to 20rwhp increases having the intake properly ported. That's pretty close to those that put on FAST 90 intakes.
