Default Which Casting is better

my stock LS1 has 853 casting heads and my new engine has 241..which is better and why?

241's are better in terms of porting (have a better baseline to start with, IMO), in terms of flow/power most guys seem to find them nearly identical stock for stock, with a small judgement in favor of the 241's - and I believe the 853's weren't SPM castings.

the 853's where sand casted as well
