who has done the drill mod succesfully? do you just drill thru the black end of the quick connect plug that pushes in about 1/2-3/4"? or do i need to go further?

I know you asked "who has done the drill mod succesfully?", but I don't believe you're supposed to drill the quick connect side of the line, are you?

I'm getting ready to drill the restriction out of mine as well, so a definite answer to this one will help me also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been reading up the instructions from installuniversity.com and it only talks about the end that connects to the Master, not the quick connect.

i tried doing a search on this, but search is screwed for me. I guess thats what i get for NOT paying attention to details. i drilled out the quick connnect end,put it back together, bleed old fluid out/new in and clutch seems normal. should i replace the line now that I forked up or just drill out the restriction as needed? thanks for the info, sorry for my stupidity

u do not dril out the quick disconnect end of the line.. you drill out the line from where it connects to the master c ylinder, you have to pull out a roll pin to remove it, its pretty easy to do.

i have done it 3 times

ok fellas, got the right side drilled out now. pretty easy mod, when you pay attention LOL. the clutch is really actin up under normal driving now. anyone have a part # handy for the braided line from master cylinder to trans? was hoping flushing the system/drill mod would elimiate my stiff pedal/low to the floor when i get on it 1-4, but no, I pull the ol stoner move and drilled the wrong end
