Do NOT buy this hood for the Camaro!!!
I feel that it is my responsability to warn you all about this hood.

I bought this hood from a different company but I think they all get them from the same manufactuor. I bought the hood and when I got it it looked nice and it seemed like it was a nice quality piece. Boy was I wrong. Here is a list of things wrong with this hood.
1. The front scoop does not clear the stock intake so you need to cut a large hole into the hood to make it clear. (I went ahead and modified the hood to clear a SLP lid and will be test fitting a k&n fipk within the next week)
2. The holes for the hood latch are not drilled correctly. There are two holes both at the top which are drilled and the stock latch requires one at the top and one at the bottom. (I had to drill the bottom hole and use a nut in the back to hold the bolt in place)
3. The middle of the hood on both sides sits much lower then the fenders. (Don't know how I will be fixing this but I plan on putting some rubber pieces to push the sides up when the hood is closed)
4. The hood is extremely weak. The stock hood struts are too strong so pulling the hood down is extremly hard and I feel like the hood will crack in half each time I pull it down. (I plan on making some aluminum support rods to go on the hood to give it support)
Well thats about it. Otherwise the hood is pretty good. The hood also comes with covers for the 6 large vents so water does not come into the engine bay. The scoop in the front is not functional unless you cut it open which like I mentioned earlier you need to do in order to clear the stock intake box. Anyways, I'll keep you guys updated on how everything goes. Hopefully I can fix all the problems and take it into the paint shop later this week and show you guys some finished pictures. I would stay away from order this hood unless you have nothing else better to do with your time and plan on modifing the hell out of the hood to make it fit right. I think this hood is even worse then the Mecham hood. I'll let you know if any other problems come up.

Werd! That thing is hideous. It must be the LS1 gods way of telling you to go back to the stock hood.

No pictures yet guys. I'll show pictures when its all ready and painted. The only reason I bought this hood was cause I bought the car with front end damage. The stock SS hood was missing a large piece of fiberglass were the latch goes. Since I needed a new hood anyways I thought I would try this hood out. Anyways, im not asking for your guys opinions cause I can care less about what you say about my car. I just want to give you guys a head ups about the hood.

FYI- the company that produces this hood is also the same company that produced the carbon fiber Berger panel that there was a thread about a couple of months ago. (And it didn't fit right either.)
The name of the company that makes it is Chaser Aerodynamics.
Octane Motorsports DOES NOT make this hood, they only distribute it.
