Unsprung weight

Unsprung weight
I've got to buy new tires, so I thought I'd step up from the stock 02' Z28 wheels and go with some TTII's or chrome Z06's. I hadn't thought much about this before, but I was browsing through some of the postings and people were talking about how the added unsprung weight of the TTII's and other large wheel tire combos really hurt the acceleration of their car. I know that more weigh means slower ET's, but I didn't realize that that little extra six or seven pounds per wheel and tire would make so much of a difference.
If I go with the TTII's I want to get the 17x9.5's and 17x11's with the 275's and 315's. If I go with the Z06's I plan to go with 17x9.5's and 17x10.5 with 275's and 295's or bigger if they will fit right.
My car is a stock 02' Z28 M6. How much of a performance loss can I expect from this additional unsprung weight concerning acceleration? I plan to do some mods later on, but I simply don't have the money to do so now. I don't want the car to look good and be slow.
Thanks,
Clif
