13.0 Flat in the 1/4 mile for $1300!
I thought you guys might enjoy this... I bought a 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T for $1,000 and then sawzalled off the stock exhaust system, added more boost, a homemade FMIC, and a set of used drag radials. About $300-$400 total in mods and the car ran a best of 13.0@103, beating a bunch of new Mustang GTs, GTOs, etc. Needless to say the owners of the new $25K+ muscle cars weren't too happy at the end of the night.

lol....gotta love the sleeper beater.
the ricer flyby on the C5 was kinda lame though. Although, taking off when you're trying to get lined up is equally lame. Did you guys say that was a Z06???

Not sure if it was a Z06 or not. My friends seemed to think it was though.

I was surprised at how well the car hooked considering how old the car is, how many miles are on it, etc. I think the "mushy" suspension definitely helped 60fts.

That's sweat and eerily coinsidental. I just picked up a new beater ('88 Dodge Aries) from a local Mopar fanatic yesterday and while I was waiting for the husband to get the title his wife pulled me around behind the shed and what did they have...a '90-'91 TurboIII 4dr Spirit with the 225hp 2.5 turbo and 5sp. It wasn't in awsome condition or anything, but it was decent and it did run. They had spec sheet, paparework, all kind of research they had done online when they bought it back in 2000.
Definately a cool little car though.
