If you get centerbolt heads, then yes. Not sure about the coil pack bolt pattern though, could be different as well for 98 heads.

Save yourself the trouble and money and have your heads ported by a competent shop. Whoever does your heads will be able to help with cam selection. You will be saving alot of money and be pretty equal with the aftermarket head/cam power.

Dont be scared to change to centerbolt heads. Not a big deal. I did it on my 98 and just had to get stock valve covers and coil pack brackets. All of the coil packs interchange so that is not an issue. I would recommend a set of the 5.3 factory heads that are CNC ported with the bigger valves. Not nearly as exspensive as the aftermarket heads and the power gain was beyond my wildest imagination. You could do the same with your stock heads and maintain the same covers but the power gain with the 5.3's was worth it in my book. Its the best bang for the buck. If any more ?'s just PM me and I will help you out the best that I can.

Good, I'm glad its nothing more than the valve covers and coil brackets. I was thinking of going with the tsp prc 2.5 heads/cam with ms3 or the patriot 59cc heads/cam with their 232/230 .580"/.580" 110 LSA. Any suggestions?

I would not go with the patriots if you are going to get new heads go with some 5.3's or DARTS have had very good success the patriots make decent power but you will lose some driveabiltiy and as far as cams how radicall you want to go is up to you i am a big fan of TSP and LG Motorsports.

Not really sure about the Patriot heads as I have never used them, but I have to say again that you shouldnt rule out a set of the factory CNC'ed heads with the bigger valves from a good shop, depending on what your budget is. I went with a little smaller cam for driveability and one that had alittle more lift and duration on the exhuast side for better torque and it really paid off. My smaller cam made alot more torque than much bigger cams and the HP was there as well as the power range on a stock lower end. A really nice combo. Just depends on what you are after. Dont forget to get a nice intake to go with it to utilize the extra flow of the cam/heads. Do your homework and really think about a nice combination. You can really surprise yourself.

Shouldnt be too much. Just keep an eye on the parts for sale section of LS1 tech and comb some local junk yards, they are easy to find.

Can anyone post a pic of the bracket? It seems like something that should be easy to make.

thanks

You can get them NEW from GM for very cheap. It's not worth your time to make them in my opinion.

Anyone have the part number?

Edelbrock and Lingenfelter have the Perimeter style heads so you don't have to buy new valvecovers, etc.
