Default Spool time

How much difference will the spool time be between a 1.08 A/R T6 flange tubro Vs. a .96 A/R T4 flange turbo?

Anybody care to gues when this setup my start spooling at and when I might see full boost? Really looking for somewhere between 3000-3500 rpms.

stock longblock 346 ci (6.0L 317's to come)
M6 manual tranny
3.42 gears
Edlebrock shorties with the Pham budget kit
Garrett T76 compressor with a T6 flange and a 1.08 A/R on the exhaust (TV series unit)
TR 227/224 @114 cam
Edlebrock Victor Jr. manifold, Aarons sheetmetal elbow w/FAST 90 TB

Or should I just try to find a T4 ehaust housing with a smaller A/R?

my tv7511 had full spool (15psi) at 3700-4000 rpm with a .96 AR. This was with turbo headers and a 4 inch DP too.

And you're running what gears/stall and what size motor with that turbo?

Well by full boost I'm only talking about 8lb's until I get the bottom end forged. Hopefully it will survive that.

Anybody else have any input with a large A/R and T6 flange as far as spool time goes?

I would say in the 4000 range. I would get the smaller .96.

I would run a T4 and smaller A/R. Bring boost in much quicker, especially with a 6 speed.

stick to the .96 or even smaller with those gears..., or you can stay with that housing and just swap gears to 3.42's...it will load the car up better and give you boost alil earlier in the power band

what AR would you suggest on a 346 with a T76 with a T4 flange to be at full boost around 4000?
