Default Fuel rail cap

How important is the fuel rail bleed valve cap? iv managed to loose mine

also will this valve leak at anypoint ( if the pressure is too low/high?) im using an adjustable regulater and havent checked the pressure yet but the valve is opening as the pump builds up the pressure then closes. opens again when the pressure drops a little ( on start up)

anyideas??

regards

Its not supose to it is like a tire valve until you depress it it should not leak. The cap is a just in case and to keep dirt out.
