Default Tranny Rebuilt- 3rd gear probs

Hello. I just had my tranny rebuilt- new blocker rings all around, new 3rd gear, new synchros, new shift forks, new mainshaft, among other thing.
Everything works...except 3rd gear. At first it was picky about getting into third, then it would pop out of third, now I can never get into third.
My mechanic who rebuilt it is at a loss.
Any ideas??

Thanks
Ben

did he mess with the shifter? do you have an aftermarket short shifter? when i had my b&m shifter put in it would sometimes stay in 3rd and other times pop out, just had to adjust it....just an idea.

ask and see what he says.

Well, I loosened the shift stops to make sure they weren't interfering with the gear engagement. Other than that I don't think there are any other adjustments on the shift.

That is what I'm doing- the problem is that he can't figure out what is wrong.

Thanks
