Default who says 315s wont fit on 8 inch rims?

so last night i was feeling pretty bored, and had a set of these 8inch rims laying around, with a set of these ET radials that i have, so i put a little soap on the tires, slide them on to the rim, seated the bead, aired them up and stuck em under the car. pic quality is horrible, took them at like 2am, but i was bored so decided to put them up on here. doesnt look like a lot of tire in the pics, but in person these things look huge under the stock wheel well camaro. Tires are Mickey Thomspon ET street DragRadials 315/60/15 (30x13.5-15)

Well....it's a different story because of the size wheel and tire combo you're using. A lot of guys try to mount 315/35/17's on a 9 or 9.5 inch wheel...that's a disaster waiting to happen. The tires you used have an enourmous sidewall, so it's much easier to fit that tire on a little wheel coz of all the available tire flex.

Wow, that looks sick. You fix your tranny yet?

P.S. Better update the sig. Last I read you sold the camaro for a Mustang.

why not? the tires only call for a 9 inch rim, and i talked to a guy from mickey thompson and he said this set up is fine on a 10 or 11 second car.

thanks for the compliment. the spare tranny is in it right now (to cruise around and mainly because i want to go to the Powertrain Park & Shine show) and the other one should be getting re-done here soon. and yeah the sig needs a update, sold the 94 in favor of a 89 five liter.

Looks good, but like the guy said, your sidewall is huge, 60% opposed to the 35% people try to pull of here, on 17's. Looks almost like a truck...... or a mean Camaro!!
