Default Torq Thrust 2 OR Black ZO6

Ok, here is a desrciption of my car. I'm going for a high-tech retro feel with CF parts and old school styling cues (sorry for stealing your idea Parbreak..)No pics because I lost my digi camera charger and the mods aren't all installed yet. All should be on or close to on by the time I get the wheels.

VFN 3in SS hood w/ cosmetic CF hood scoop
RKSport CF grill w/ 69 Z29 emblem
SLP CME valence w/ Dual tips
Gloss Berger panel w/ 69 Z28 emblems and old school " Chevrolet" emblem
SS Spoiler
Body matched mirrors (haven't decided if I'll use the stock Camaro mirrors)
Spreewell length Hockey sticks w/ 69 Z28 emblems
Halo's
Blacked out every other light (Not Halo's) on the body with VHT
5% tint

I love Torq Thrust 2's AND the Black Z06's with polished rivets and a machined lip. I am wanting to run 18x9.5s up front and 18x11 out back (unless you know somewhere with a 19x11 that'll fit out back). I currently have to run Et Streets to get any traction on the street. It'll have a different motor/gears/stall by the end of the summer but that's down the road and I'll figure out track wheels/tires when I get there. For now, what is the best tire to fit 18 or 19x11s? Which of the 2 listed would look best on my car? Post up your pics and opinions on other wheels if you know of something else that will suit my look! Thanks

you mean which wheel....if you go TTII's in 18 the biggest/widest you can get them in is 18"x10.5" or 10"... There are iForce Aero's that come in whatever size you like (19x11) but im sure you will have to seel a left nut to get those, then buy some tires and sell your right one lol ...anyways im not sure what sizes ZO6's come in but im sure the ZO6's will be the cheapest option just because its a "replica" wheel...good luck and post up when u decide on something LaTr.

Don't get anything with rivets, I don't think it will look very retro

Z06's don't come in anything bigger/wider than 18x10.5" anyways.

you said that they dont come in anything bigger then a 18x10.5. you never said "tomz wheels doesnt sell anything bigger then a 18x10.5". There are other shops that sell quality wheels besides tomz wheels.

There are two companies that make the quality Z06 motorsport reproductions, AFS and OE Concepts. Those are the ones tomz sells. I'm not sure what other quality wheel you think you're finding but more power to you - if you search through wheel threads on these you'll see which ones people go with and are happiest with. I'm sure this guy, or anyone, doesn't want a set of wheels that are gonna chip and peel after a year. But, you are right, there are other companies that also do reproductions as well.

Smile

You're picking between the 2 most played-out wheels on 4th generation f-bodies today. That's my opinion.
