Default aftermarket starter

My newly rebuilt LS1 with CNC LS6 heads had a porosity leak causing a con rod to bend. It also broke the short ear off the starter.
Dose any one make an aftermarket starter. Im thinking it might be a good idea sience I have 11.3:1 CR.

Thanks

Stock one works well even with high compression. Of course nothing is going to crank over a cylinder full of coolant.

A stock one will work just fine. CVR makes one that will crank a 16.1:1 CR motor. They have an LS1 starter as well as many other ones.
