Default headers?? so many which one is the best for the money??

As the title states, I've been doing some research on different types of headers. As always I figure it's better to get info from people who have used a few different kinds, so I wouldn't have to spend my hard earned money on different set ups. Is it better to go with Hooker Super Comps or SLP tuned headers?

Thanks
Evan

It's better to go with hooker than SLP. SLP hang too low.

The best period for fitment and overall quality are Pacesetters if you want coated and Kooks if you want stainless.

Searching will show up all kinds of info on this subject, but I know there has been a problem with the search lately too.

Is there a power gain between any of them, or are they all the same in that department?

There have been a couple threads lately answering exactly what you are asking. just search "headers" and you will find what you are looking for.

how much are you looking to spend? all LT headers are within 5hp of each toher. for coated good quality headers, pacesetters to the end. for stainless steel QTP and Kooks are top dog. recently people have been talking about the stainmless steel ebay headers for 300 bucks and a few people have bought them and had very good luck with them so those may be something to look at if we can get more opinions on them but they offer no ORY so a shop will have to make one

Short and simple.

Coated - Pacesetters.
Stainless - Kooks or QTP.

IMHO.

Do it once do it right. QTP HVMC headers. Make more power than any other header.

Avoid flowtechs if you can. Yes they are priced well, but the quality is just not up to any other brand out there. They have VERY thin flanges that will become a problem. They will more than likely leak sooner than later. Go pacesetter if you are on a budget.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Avoid flowtechs. I've heard of all sorts of problems with them. Cheaper isn't always better.

Pacesetters here....goin on two years and they look great still. Easy install and great power. If you have the dough, do SS. But if you're like me, I got my Pacesetters and TD's out the back for the same price as SS headers. I be happy!
