Default How fast do you cruise on the highway wiht your Th400?

I have put about 4,000 miles on my Th400 since last year, and I would guess about half of those are highway miles. I usualy like to keep the rpm's at about 3000-3300, but may get on it a few times. I thought the reason you aren't supposed to go too fast is so the engine rpm's aren't too high.
I was told by a few people, to keep the car under 60 mph on the highway so I dont burn the trans. The temperature stays at about 150 on the highway, but because the gearing in the Th400 is different and there isn't overdrive, I was told you have to go prety slow. At what speeds do you guys cruse at ? Mines a reverse manual valve body with a trans brake, if that matters
thanks

When I had the 3.73s in it I would cruise at about 55 to 60 but just to keep the RPMs down to about 3000 3100. Its alot easier on the motor.
I recently broke the 3.73s and have a 2.73 gear rear out in the backyard that I got for free for getting it out of some guys yard.
I am in the process of throwing that rear in and I will be able to cruise at 70 or so.
Its gonna kill the performance of the car though......
I am going with a 12 bolt at the first of the year and 3.73s again most probably but upping the tire diameter to 28 inches to help with the revs.
