Default H/c Swap. Pace Setters Dont Fit!!!!

Just completed the ms4 and prc ls6 heads install. When I was bolting up the headers the passenger side fit very well. Then when i tried to bolt up the drivers, thier was no chance at all of the piece of **** bolting up. The header must have been bent wrong from the factory, it wouldnt even come close to bolting up to the head, it was almost like the factory didnt make the angle at the flange correctly. Also the O2 sensor fitting was on top of the collector.
Hopefully TSP will send another set of these. Anyone else ever had this problem???

Is this the first time the headers have been bolted up or were they with your old heads? There is no mention of the headers being new too. I guess it could be the head also that is at fault.

I've never heard of this problem with pacesetters.

Deff. not the head, the headers are brand new, the passenger side would have to swing like 2 inches out to have the right angle to bolt up to the head, wish i could take a pic of whats goin on

This is the first problem with pacesetters that I've heard of. I guess you'll have to send them back. Texas-speed is great to deal with too.

O2 sensor bung on top of the collector How would they F that up so bad. Man, I thought it was bad having the bung pointed toward the outside on my hooker headers.

Yea, I hope to get another set from TSP tomorow, the only way you can tell that they dont fit, is with them in the car, im not about to put it back in, i have the passenger side in, it fits ok, but have the driver side back out. Any one think they will send me another set, with me only sending them the one that doesnt fit back, i would hate to have to take the passenger side off with it done and fitting well??

Seriously, I read maybe 6 months ago this same thread. Header didn't fit, 02 bung on top of the collector. They sent him the wrong headers. They were for a truck or something.

Sounds like they sent you the wrong headers. Someone else had this prob. They are the truck headers.

Edit: This was stated post above mine almost verbatim. Sorry!

You're probably going to have to send them both back.

Thanks for the post on this guys, finally figured out the headers were for a silverado, the box originaly was labeled as the 99-02 truck headers, but had a yellow label over the top of it, saying they were for a f-body. Ended up taking the passenger side header back off, and boxed em up, TSP is shipping another set out, hopefully they will be the right ones this time

Yeah I had a deal like this too. 3 months ago. The left side was correct and I got a Right-side truck. Luckly I saw something was right before the install. But I shouldnt of done the swap, car took a big hit in the torque department..
