Default Killing cats?

What is meant by "killing the cats." Do they just quit "scrubbing" the products of combustion, or do they physically become more restricted.

To me "killing the cats" could mean removing them, gutting them, or just turning the codes off. Not sure what you're asking.

Do you mean destroying them from engine use...high hp/rpms...lotsa power going through them will do it if they are cheap...vettes,vipers,m cars,lambo's,mercedes,ferrari's.. etc all have them..but i bet they are 500-1000 $ each....'high flow ones to be sure'
