hands down the ls6, unless you went with a bigger 90mm or something

The LS6 is cheaper. Until the FAST intake prices come down, the little extra power isn't really worth the money.

You could use that extra $300 on a nitrous kit and get 100hp right there. There are way better things to spend that extra money on.

And I'll be the prices on those intakes will come down in a year or two.

Although the 78mm FAST is well proven and very capable I don't think the cost is worth it. It should outperform the LS6 but an Ls6 and home ported TB is very cheap and on only a mildly modded motor will work just as well.

Most of the aftermarket intakes (FAST 78 & 90) prefer the higher rpms, this is where they will outperform the LS6. So if a cam or h/c is in your future I'd save up for a FAST 90mm and PTM 90mm TB.

unless you are going to spray a big shot and want to have the safety of knowing that if you have a nitrous backfire it will just blow out the bottom of your FAST and you just have to get another. with LS6 you would have to replace. but like i said only if you are spraying a big shot. otherwise its a total waste of money

ya do not i repeat do not get the 78 fast the stock ls1 intake is a 75 there would be hardly any gain off the 78 but now if you were wanting to pull that kind of money out for a 78 then you might as well go with the 90/90 setup, but the ls6 is the best bang for the buck when it comes to intakes

That's not exactly true, the intake plenium chamber is superior on the FAST 78 compared to the LS6 and on the correct setup it will easily surpass the LS6, again it will be in the higher rpms. There's someone on this board with an h/c setup in a C5 running a FAST 78, they make 470+rwhp (Dynojet STD corrected).

Plus the 78 is a decent amount cheaper than the 90 setup.

LS6. Only time to get a 78mm FAST is if you can get it for the same price as an LS6.

Let's give this dead horse a break.
