Default so yeah...there are some fast ricers

so..we were out taking some friends home and at there apartments i noticed this typical louder than **** honda sound, turns out it is a 99 prelude with a c/f hood and the rice pipe, so i will admit, i was feeling kind of cocky i mean i did finnaly get a t/a and what the hell huh? so i ask him to race. he immediatly agrees without hesitation...i was like hmm thats weird does he not notice the 5.7 liters of ls1 haul *** sitting next to him...ohwell his loss so we go out to the highway as we were pulling out to the road my friend that was with me yells look at that i turn back and notice that giant front mount smilling at me...ohwell i think to myself so its turbo big deal ls1...v8....it mean!
so we get side by side were at 60 mph i go to third.....first mistake and as you all read this you will be like WTF why not 2nd dumbass.. so anyway we three honk and i hit it.....i am instantly greated with the crazy sounds of turbo spooling and sequential blow off valves...ohh shitt....that little **** jumps out about 4 or five feet on me and holds it!!!! to the top of third.....so now as we slow down again and i am having mixed emotions i am both shocked and pissed and i look over and the guy is smilling....well my friends that just wouldnt do..so i signal for one more....this time i use my brain and select 2nd gear we three honk and it was dead even to the top of third, finnaly seems like it took forever about the middle of 4th i starting gaining but at the top of fourt i think around 130 ish i was only about a link ahead...wow thats all i could say to myself....anyway if your in springfield and your any slower at all then a stock ws6 m6 watch out for the red lude.

Dig would have been ugly for him. Huge turbo mid-range torque plus FWD means problems.

Nice run. You still won, and your stock. Now get to work.

not really any good place around that area to go from a dig...would have rather,,, he sugested the roll and now i know why

^^ Going to the show at Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in a couple weeks? Usually a good showing. Hope to see some nasty F-Bodys there.

Amazing a 2.2 liter with 5-6 PSI can keep up with a LS1 isn't it. Thats all it takes for a H22 Prelude to do mid 13's.

oh i dont even want to get started on that... got it on a thursday,,, fuel pump went out friday, while in the shop found broken motor mount and tranny mount now the cats are bad....so my mod money kina got burned

All LS1 f-bodies run about the same times stock, whether it is a Camaro (Z28, SS) or Firebird (Formula, T/A, WS6, Firehawk). A M6 WS6 is not the fastest LS1 f-body while stock. Don't want to start a flame war, but just wanted to let you know since it sounds like you just picked up your ride.

oh i know i hear the ss can sometime put down better times heard they were lighter i just thought i wouldnt have to much of a prob with a honda 4 lesson learned..

yeah there are some fast ricers out there... up here in Fargo, ND.. some of the ricers do it right all engine and very few body mods... some of them are seeing like 10's n **** on built motors and huge boost... it's crazy. My friend has an integra gsr and he is seeing like 260 rwhp on like 8-9 psi... and hes going to do a rebuild this winter and hopefully see around 400+ rwhp in a 2600lb car, so when they do it right some ricers can be hella fast...

Haha don't feel bad man the other day in my 98 T/A A4 (stock except for a catback), i got my *** handed to me by a boosted b16 Civic. Of course it was a roll race at 50 mph and the car dont take off at 50 lol.

Actually they're heavier. An LS1 is an LS1. For the record, the fastest stock LS1 F-body was a Z28 (Evan Smith ran it to a 12.8).

Now go get some mods (lid, headers, cutout ) and then he won't have a chance.
