Default 12.4 possible?

With just a lid , K&N and nitto 555Rs I ran 8.33s , @ high 86 mph 4 times in a row! that converts to a 12.8 1/4 mile, and I was running 1/9 60's

Now on top of the lid, I am adding the following

from mt steel flywheel and LS6 clutch ( 2002 came with it) I am putting a LS2 aluminum flywheel, LS7 clutch.

Spohn LCA

Urethane engine mounts

PAcesetter LTs and TSP ORY

B&M ripper shifter

and a 25% underdrive pulley

I think all that should help me drop at least .5 from a 1/4

what are your thoughts?!

the car has 79,500 miles and an M6

i telling you to look at my sig to see my mods and the times i ran.

i dont have a ls6 intake manifold or 241 castings heads like you did in your runs but i had lt and 3.89's.

imo the better heads and intake give 15hp or so.

the only things you will have over my car when you get your parts are.
better flowing heads
better flowing intake
underdrive pulley
and alum flywehhel over my steel ls2 flywheel
and lca.

im shooting for 12.30's after i get the ls6 intake, ported TB, and lca's

You ran a 13 though! I know for a fact I can pin 12.9 maybe 12.8 with just my lid and K&N ( also my Nittos) .

So I am asking if I can run 12.5 or even maybe a 12.4 with the LCA, LT, ORY, ALuminum flywheel and pulley...

I cant compare it to what you have because you have a 9" , different int manifold and gears. its not the same. and still u ran 13s...

You should be putting down better numbers, thats why I still need someone with similar mods to come in and say something.

But thanks for your input.

I have seen a M6 Z28 with a lid, catback, and LS6 intake beat an older viper RT/10 on a 40 drop. I hope this inspires confidence. Yes, you can hit mid-low 12s with headers, LCAs, ORYs but add 4.11s to the mix to make sure you don't leave any possible drop out of your powerband

Im sure Ill break my rear if I run higher gears. I think with 3.42s its possible to get a 12.4/12.5, at least I hope so.
