Ok i've been doing some searching but cant find the answer im looking for. If i was to run a manual fan switch with my stock T-stat would my car run any cooler? And can someone please tell me what i need to wire up my own switch because i dont want to buy the SLP one.

Thanks

Running the manual fan switch will help keep down temps when sitting in traffic or at the track. It will keep temps down but only when you want to lower them not all the time. If you wanted them to stay lower in general then a 160 thermostat will do that. There is debate about what thermostat should be run but the manual fan switch is a great addition to help keep the heat down during the summer.

I'd just get the SLP switch, you can wire LEDs to it and can even see when low/high speed fans are on with the switch in the center (off) position - and will work with the car off so you don't leave it on accidently and run the battery down. Or just get your fan temps lowered.

Temp. guages only work in 98 year models so it won't show that it is working on the guage but yes it should cool the motor down a bit more.
