painting and weatherstripping around hatch glass and windshield

Default painting and weatherstripping around hatch glass and windshield

when i removie that black weatherstripping around the glass on the windshield and hatch can it be glued back in with weatherstripping adhesive or do i have to replace it?

i will be honest and say I have never done this myself, but I would replace it with some fresh striping...treat it like a gasket on your engine...you wouldnt resuse a head gasket...I wouldnt reuse stripping either...just get fresh stuff,
its your call man...but that is my worthless opinion

Hope you really didnt already pull your mouldings out...The only way to get them back in is to cut out the glass the mouldings front and back glue in with the glass...and yes you will have to have new ones...the back glass is no problem to cutout without breaking but the front on the other hand could be a real problem I would say your gonna have to buy a new windshield now...

yup just mask it unless u want to buy all new stuff and have the glass removed...
