weird tranny/converter problem...need input
1994 LT1 Impala SS, Edge 2800 converter, recently rebuilt 4L60E, Herter computer program, otherwise pretty much stock.
A few days ago, car started locking up the converter in 3rd almost immediately after it hits 3rd at partial throttle (bogs motor down). Also, the TC doesn't want to lock until 60 mph while in 4th, usually locks at 48mph. At WOT, the car behaves normally. No computer codes or tranny codes thrown. No other problems of any kind. Changed out aftermarket tune for stock, same issues. using Royal Purple ATF. Car ran perfect after rebuilt tranny and new converter for several months, then all of a sudden, this odd problem. cant think of any tranny part that would directly cause this other than TCC solenoid or pressure switch. I think it is likely the converter, but wanted to get some input from the board.

as little help as it may be, i would think it is computer related. kind of like how ls1's unlock the verter with the misfire bullshit.
if it was the converter i would guess it would be problematic in any gear, not just D and OD. speed sensor, lockup solenoid, something else stupid maybe
