Hmm, i wonder how that would look with that style. Either ways, your best bet is to call around your local chrome places, only they would know the prices...

I have been looking into this for a while now. The best price I got was $185/wheel and I would have to ship them to Texas at my cost. I tried here in Ohio and the best I got was $275/wheel So I bagged that idea and found a place that will strip the clear and do a high polish then reclear them with some type of process that will not look like the 'stock' clear coat. He told me it will be a much 'clearer' look than the stock clear. I deliver the rims and it is $110/wheel. I haven't done it yet but I will be pretty soon.

For $185-275 a wheel it was too much for me; couldn't justify that. You could buy an awesome set of new chrome ones for that. I like the stock ones anyway.

Thanks Splitz! I owe you one!

I actually strip sand and polish to a chrome-like finish. I use Zoopseal to protect. It's good for two years of daily driving and it's cystal clear. You can get Zoopseal from Eastwood (sponsor)===>

And if a shop told you $185 for chrome plating rims, then something is wrong because that's way too low... you get what you pay for, especially with chrome. Trust me.

The ONLY place I'd send my own wheels to is in California and they aren't cheap. We can do bumpers and stuff like that, but rims require more prep work and supplies. Full copper plating (better for the chrome to bond with) and then triple dipping and that kind of quality takes time and money. ~Joshua
