engine noise

engine noise i just built a 383 ls1 and i am using 0w30 non detergent for the first 200 miles of break in and either timing chain or oil pump seems to be making a mild ticking or knocking noise or at least it sounds like its coming from the front of engine with the belt off .the motor has a ported ls6 oil pump and a rollmaster double roller timing chian.any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
