Default F14 vs. Torquer 2?...Whats the difference?

I been looking for a new cam that is a decent size and still puts out some torque, doesnt need to kick in at 1500K RPM's or something i could only get with a very small cam but I want it decently low.

I found the Futural F14 (232"/234" .598"/.598" 112LSA) and really like what I have heard about it and then today i noticed the specs for the T2 cam (232/234 .595/.598 i would get 112) and they are basically the same cam? I realized the T2 is on XER lobes and the F14 in on some other not quite as aggresive lobes. TSP says the T2 will have a 1800-6400 powerband, while the F14 has a 3000-7000 powerband? what am I missing here for these to cam to have such different powerbands?

from what i have read the t2 has abotu the same powerband as the one from the f14 that you have listed. it seems to come in at about 3500 or so peaks about 6600 but will pull strong all the way till 7 if you want.

Here is my bolt on Z06 with the F14 cam dyno graph.

Then I added some Dart 205 heads and the car puts this down now.

If you have any questions about the F14 I can probably help as I daily drive my car.

The powerbands are subjective. Companies pull those numbers directly out of their asses. Theyre useful for gauging different cams of the same manufacturer, but not necessarily across different vendors. I went from the f13 to the T2 and there wasnt very much difference. Probably wouldnt be able to tell any difference if someone switched them on your car in the middle of the night.

If you can tell the difference would it be smarter to go with the F14 since the lobes are less agressive and will help internals last?

What less agressive? Pfft
XE-R has a ramp variance rate of 49, and Cammotion is like 50/51
Hardly what i would call less aggressive!

The difference between the two will be at .200 and .400, but minute if you ask me.
Either or, they are both good cams, Look at the T2 results in my 370 cid (sig), mine is a 113+0
