Question Any 383/402/408 Owners with LS6 Intake?

Has anybody run their stroker with a LS6 intake? Do you have any numbers? Did you switch to something else and if so what? What kind of gains did you see? Thanks! Ben

Theres a local guy (I think he's a member of the forum) who has a low compression forged 408 with afr 225s and an upper 230 duration cam running the ls6 intake in a vette. He made around 440rwhp/440rwtq out of that motor n/a. He recently added a novi blower setup and is making quite a bit more power. BUT the motor made good power with the ls6, but I'm sure you'd gain by going to a fast 90 setup.

I had an LS6 on my 383 for a while. Made 440/410 with stock un-ported TB. Swapped to a Fast90/NW90 combo a while back. Haven't been back to the dyno yet because the Fast90 tends to leak.

I was asking because I am putting in a 383 stroker and wondered how much better a 90/90 would be. Cost is becoming an issue and I don't want to lose too much mid-range either. Thanks for the replies!

I ran the LS6 intake for awhile on my 408, 440hp & 437ft lbs. TQ. Ive since swapped to the FAST 90 intake but haven redyno'd. Seems like the 440 range is real popular with the LS6 intake. BTW- that was with Patriot stage III LS6 heads, comp 244/248, and a 10.7-1 CR.

Same here I have a 382stroker with a ls6 and unported tb was wondering if a 90/90 would be worth the investment or if I should just port the stock tb.

My vote would be to go with the LS6 intake for now. I'm making 475/450 on a mustang dyno with ported 317's flowing 320/220 at .600, 244/248 cam, and the LS6/ported TB setup.

Would there be any gains from a ported tb on the ls6 intake?

my buddy grant aka soldier made 500/505 out of his 408 back when it had the ls6. With the fast he made nearly 520.

Oh yea, forgot to mention my numbers were through cats as well That should definitely show you that the LS6 is no slouch and won't exactly rape you of making high numbers, it just doesn't let the car reach full potential.
