Im pretty stoked about this one guys!!! These TrickFlows are doing the job!!! Setup consists of the following
2002 LS1 F body-M6-10 bolt 4:11s-315/35/17 Drag Radials
TrickFlow Heads-59cc chambers-massaged by Vengeance Racing
Vengeance Racing Custom Camshaft-VRX1

Vengeance Racing Custom Programming
Car was tuned to 28.5* total timing and 12.9 A/F... This is a DAILY DRIVER :)
No notching of the pistons, no dyno tricks, just straight out awesome power!!!!!
There should be a few left in it with some more tuning. We are still on the stock 02 injectors and fuel pump... Hoping for 500rwhp in a week or so when we get back on the dyno with the upgraded parts.
Customer also has a Textralia clutch with the steel flywheel, so thats not helping things:drive:

WOW!
400+ lb ft of torque from 3700-6300 :eek2:
420 lb ft of torque from 4500-6000 :eek2:
Definitely not a "peaky" power curve like some of the other high HP head/cam cars.
488 RWHP SAE, that has to be a non flycut piston record!! :hail:
Great job guys!! Maybe you should box up and ship one of those cams for my car :)
BTW, how does that compare to some of the best RWHP you have seen from some of the other heads on the market?

real nice #'s. add a 12bolt and loose 15 hp go to a stang dyno and loose another 20hp like i did. i got 463hp 414tq 12bolt 4.11 on a stang dyno no tricks on a street car w/steel flywheel dynoed in 90deg heat too. your set up is nice, powerful too.

..... Or I could dyno when its 68* outside and pick up 20rwhp and make over 500rwhp... or I could swap injectors and the fuel pump and make over 500rwhp in the same heat ;) :) This package isnt done guys.... I just wanted to share the preliminary results!!!
The camshaft is a VRX1 :) Specs will be released soon......
Brian,
This combo is one of the most powerful we have done to date.... We havent compared anything to the other aftermarket heads, because we have been having such great luck with the TFS heads....

I can't waite to get back to Atlanta and pick up my car. Needs to be flogged at the track. Starting to save for the 12-bolt now. Track times to come w/sissy launches on 10-bolt. Thank you Mike and Ron @ Vengeance!! Money well spent!!!

that tq is just phenominal. I think that tells the real story of how effective the heads are. It appears these heads are capable of much more with the right setup (cam/intake) in an all out race application.
but this street setup is incredible.

Very Impressive set-up!
Can you share the cam spec?
The cam specs are nothing special guys. I will tell you it is smaller than a T-Rex. You guys can make up the rest.
The great thing about this car is how well it drives and starts hot with the A/C on perfect everytime.
I think we can probably go for around 495 with a few other changes. I know with a 12 bolt we will lose of few but I still think the car will be in the 480's with a 12bolt.
I am looking for a good LS2 customer to shoot for around 500PLUS RWHP with a setup similar to this one with a few minor changes. With the extra cubes of the LS2 I honestly feel we can make 500 plus on a stock bottom end. If I do it I will post of the graph but I am very happy with this setup. (FOR NOW  )
Well that my post for the Summer Season. See you guys :drive:

Wow, that is some major power. My goal is to have a set-up like that but I want to be sure I'm picking the right bolt-ons for now.
I'm thinking about going GMMG as well, do you think you would have made a lot more power with a true dual set-up, or only a couple more HP?

Outstanding numbers!
It's interesting that you posted the before dyno graphs as 340/360 rwhp/rwtq because Weekend Racer quoted his pre-heads/cam numbers as 360/382 from this:
2002 Camaro SS w/full bolt-ons 11,000 miles
List:
1 3/4 dynatech supermaXX LT headers no cats
90/90 Tb/intake
85 mm MAF sensor
ASP pulley
Lid w/K&N filter
Cold air kit
tubular subframes
short throw shifter
Stock 10-bolt w/4.10 gears
Dyno results: 360 rwhp 382 ft.lbs.torque following dyno tune
1/4 mile: 12.78 @ 111 mph at Commerce in Atlanta GA/ hot as hell outside crappy track prep
60 ft time: 1.92 w/ Nitto drag radials
Heads bought/ cam will be 232/234
A 128 rwhp/48 rwtq gain sounds like the real before/after numbers and not 148 rwhp/70 rwtq gain. Not trying to take anything away from the numbers, like I said, they're outstanding! I'm just trying to get a handle on how much power the TFS heads and mystery cam added. I'm always looking for more power myself. ;)

Why would temperature make that much a difference if the numbers are SAE corrected?

Curious as to what the PTV clearance is with that cam and 59cc heads. What gasket was used as well? I assume the cam isn't much bigger then ~234 if you didn't flycut. Nice numbers. Curious to see how it runs at the track.

You made those numbers with a 90/90 combo, sweet. I unfortunately still have a 78/78 combo, but made 473/431 to the wheels. I can only hope that the Fast 90 and 90 mm TB can put my LG prepped car to your level. You guys seem to have came up with a wicked package that many people would love to have installed on their cars. Awesome!!! Good luck on the 500 rwhp mark. That was my goal all along, but obviously I fell a bit short. Forged 402 in the works so who cares.

Looks like this car is about 20 RWHP and 10 RWTQ better then what your car did through the mufflers when you had a big cam, which is about the difference that we had seen on the engine dyno between the TFS and AFR heads.

I'm not sure if that accounts for any of the difference or not. 20 rwhp is 20 rwhp however you get it. Hats off to Vengeance and TFS for a killer combination. :hail:

Why would temperature make that much a difference if the numbers are SAE corrected? The SAE corrsection can't compensate for everything. Colder air has more oxegyn in a givin area, allowing more to get in the motor, thus making more power. Plus there's the drop in humidity and other factors that come with cooler air. The dyno can only correct to a "generic" point. Colder air will produce much better results. :)

:eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :hail: :hail: :hail: You guys are AWESOME!!! I finally ran my car out here in Cali. after you guys did my motor 2 years ago. Times sucked because of 1600' elevation. However, I beat an LT1 Trans Am that was completely gutted (no carpet, seats, etc.) , except drivers seat, and rollcage. I beat him on the motor (full interior etc), and he was spraying. So, GOOD JOB VENGEANCE!!!

Looks like I posted the graph before the 90/90 and headers..... If ya look at it like that, then say the TrickFlows/Headers/90-90/Camshaft added 148/70 ;) Still seems like an impressive gain no matter how ya break it down. .....

Wow! Wonder what those heads, Intake & TB would do on a stroker?
TFS has a bigger 225cc, 4.00" bore head for the stroker engines, it's the best flowing 4.00" bore head we have seen on our bench, and it only has a 2.055 intake valve. More flow through a smaller valve equals more velocity.

I thought Patricks car had a 233/235 cam and a head with 2.02 valves as well (when he had 205's)? If this is the cam you are talking about and its so big, then how big is this cam in this thread?
Those are some great numbers guys. Did you flow the heads after you touched them up? If you can, post up the specs of the cam or at least a closer window. Good luck hitting 500, your not far off of it!
Also like to give you guys props on posting all the run info, lots of high number cars around here post up but give out no more info. Looks like one of the first REAL high dynos in a long time. :)

Duh.....I guess reading the sig is important.
In that case, since the TFS head is the best 3.90 bore head we have seen. The more demand you put on it, the bigger the seperation between it and the competition. In other words, if the TFS head is 20HP better on a 346 then another head, then on a 383 it may be 25-30 HP better, does this make sense? A supercharged engine will do the same thing, if a head is worth 40 RWHP normally aspirated, then at 14 lbs of boost it will be worth almost 80 RWHP.
