torque converter install question
I had some problems with my previous transmission so I pulled it, bought a new used one and installed it today.
I slid the torque converter on and did the 3 click setting thing. It was seated all the way in. Got the trans butted up against the engine without any troubles then bolted it in place.
When I went to tighten down the 3 torque converter bolts through the starter hole there was about 1/4" between the flywheel and the torque converter. The converter pulled toward the engine 1/4" and butted up against the flywheel.
Does this sound correct? There should be the small space between the flywheel and torque converter before tighting it down?
thanks guys, trying to get this thing moving today....first time in 3 years!
