Default Took TNT kit off and Fuel shooting out end of fuel rail...I'm an idiot

Just took my TNT kit off and I thought the end of the fuel rail where the nitrous fuel line connects to the schrader valve was a hookup like the valve in a tire. I started the car up and fuel was spraying out of the end of the fuel rail. Does this mean I have a bad schrader valve? Really I'm looking for someone to tell me what I need to buy to get that capped off or something.

You need a new valve core, and valve core tool. The core was removed for the nitrous system.

ehh...buy an innertube from a bike store and get one of those little valve caps that have the schrader valve unscrewer part (technical term there ) on the top and put it in your rail

go to your local tire store. they should have hundreds just lying around fron changing tires. if not, then just ask for a valve stem.

It's really that easy, huh? To the bike store I go. I can probably pick up the install tool there too, right?

Picked some up from the parts store, but they wouldn't screw in. They appear to fit alright, but I just couldn't get the threads started as if it wasn't in far enough to catch. So, I called local dealer and they said they are actually different from the standard ones in tires. Part # 25532663 Going to cost $5, but oh well. I'll update tomorrow

Got the GM part, it doesn't work just like the standard tire valve cores. Am I missing something here? I hope so, I'd rather someone say I'm stupid and tell me what I'm doing wrong, then have my car just sitting around anymore. I'm putting it in the end of fuel rail and turning it, but no threads ever seem to catch anything.

Is there another cheap way of capping it off?

Has anyone else had a problem getting one of these cores screwed back in or is my car really cursed? Well I know it's cursed, but still wondering.

Does anyone know if the NOS brand 4an cap works or not?

Any hardware store will have a cap that will work, just get a brass cap. FWIW, they are the same size caps that a residential a/c unit uses.

Some idiot may have butchered your threads removing the valve core when they put the kit on. Seen that before. Apparently those $.50 tools are just too expensive.

Yeah, I was thinking the threads may have gotten beat up. Went to Ace and picked up a 3/8" and a 1/4", but both were too big. I'll have to try ordering that 4an, which is what I think it is based on some searches on here. I just hope it is deep enough to get threaded on.

Had the same problem after removing my TNT system - could not get the valve to screw back in. After messing with it for a while and tapping the end of the screw-in tool a little with a persuasive device (hammer), I got the threads to grab. Hope this helps.

I was going to try that, but was afraid I'd jack up the threads even more, but at this point, who cares, right? I did order a cap last night, so hopefully one of them will get the job done.

I smashed/screwed a shrader valve in there, and put a 4an cap on it, and it is all sealed up. Ran around for a while last night, and she's good to go.
