Forced Induction - Car runs -- TTi street T76 kit

Well, I think I have most of the bugs worked out of the TTi kit now. In the end I got a new serpentine belt to cure the terrible squeak, redid the crossover for more ground clearance, and put an oil restrictor in (right now it is .080"). It seems to have eliminated the smoking, so I may go a little bigger on the restrictor. We will see. Here are some pics:

That layout looks almost identical to mine, except mine's an LT1. I have some smoking issues also. Someone posted a neat method to draw a slight vacuum on the crankcase that helps the low turbo's drain. I'm going to try that next. Do you have a pic. of the driver's side header? Also, where did you get the sway bar spacers?

Thanks for the compliments guys! I have 2 things left to do, a good tune and of course a bath for the car. Poor thing has been down so long in the garage it collected a good layer of dust. :jest:

It has been a long haul, but things seem to be coming together finally.

Is the shooting flames comment serious?

I picked up a solid inch, maybe 1.5" of ground clearance. I will get a shot of the new ground clearance.

engineermike, I am now running a restrictor that seems to have stopped the smoking completely. I also have my PCV setup to draw a slight vacuum in the crankcase. Here is my PCV setup currently:

I made the sway bar spacers, 1" square tubing. Not too hard to do.

Those are not ramps, they are actually some surplus bulldozer jack stands :jest: Got them from work, repainted them and they work pretty good. 30 ton rating!

I think he means, tune it, get some dyno numbers and then take to the track to get some 1/4 mile times.

Tune will come soon, may not get dyno numbers for a while (don't like local dyno guy), and track times will come too.

the only turbo car i have really been around is a evo, and his car shoots flames out the back. don't know why it does. he said it was because of the turbo so i was just wondering

Hmm, I know supras can shoot a flame out, but as far as I know my car does not do that. I hope it doesn't or my underbody might get a little singed.

My car shoots out flame when shifting, and it's N/A. It's just excess fuel catching fire in the exhaust pipes when you let off the gas. It richens up for just a brief second and fires in the pipes. No biggie.

No problem, I'm always here to help. I'm glad you got the kinks worked out on your existing stuff. It goes to show everyone, going FI is not easy and sometimes it's not just a matter of bolting stuff on. If you want to go fast, bolt something on quickly and not spend money - go nitrous or go home. :D
