Default B&m and Pro 5.0 question????

Two things, Ive heard of people removing springs in their shifter for an easier shift. Can you do this with the pro 5.0. Is there much of a differance between the old B&m shifter and the newer style? Is the difference just the fact that the old ones you can change the handle??? Thanks

They're not hard to shift though, you want some resistance when you're shifting. I bought an ebay shifter with really weak springs and it was terrible. I ended up buying a B&M and I'm really happy with it.
