Default It's an early Christmas...

My wife decided that I didn't need a motorcycle but I did need a 450RWHP SS.
Here's my list of parts to buy!
1. Patriot LS6 Stage III Heads.
2. Comp Cams XR265HR Hi lift cam (212-218 with an 115 LSA)
3. Comp Cams roller rocker kit.
4. Comp Cams Lifters
5. Comp Cams Push Rods
6. SLP Ported LS6 oil pump/double roller timing chain kit.
7. Jet Hot LT headers and y-pipe.
8. Dyno tune

This package should return a solid 435-450 RWHP with excellent driving manners and reliability. Let the games begin!

I think you'll need more cam than that. I'd personally skip the roller rocker kit and just have Harland Sharp rebuild your stock ones for $250.

My $.02. after 3 motors, 3 cams and a set of roller rockers.

Congrats on deciding to make the plunge!

I think that cam is way to small to make 430rwhp. Go with atleast a TR224 if not just try a TSP Torquer 3. I herd people are putting down some impressive hp and TQ numbers with this cam

I would agree a 224 would work well and behave great still neting you the power you'd like.

well wouldn't the TSP MS4 be a good choice with the heads hes got. i mean he can go with like a 114 lsa on that cam and still have a very nice power band but wont lope as hard.

224-230 Comp cam might work on 114 or 115.

Your sig says that you made 348 rwhp and 375rwtq.....with intake (meaning lid) and a catback................????????

That has got to be an all time record for a car with no headers...correct if I am wrong guys?

But yes, you will need a bigger cam to hit 430 rwhp, and an even bigger cam and probably better heads to be guaranteed to hit 450rwhp.

Do some more research before pulling the trigger so quickly. I realize we all get excited, especially when the wifey is all for it. Those heads are TOO much for what you're after. I'd go with an as cast DART(1700, thats a bargain!) for some great low-end torque and mid-range pull. The cam leaves a lot to be desired as well. I'd go with something a long the lines of say a TR224(224/224 112 or 114lsa) OR for something a step bigger that will STILL be fantastic as far as driveability goes, an F13(230/232 112 or 114lsa). Don't be afraid of going a little larger than you orginally wanted as far as cams go because with todays tuning, those cams can be made to sound and drive damn near stock with a mild lope. Those two cams are far beyond "proven" as far as that goes. As was said before, have your stock rockers rebuilt as they will cause the least amount of headache. Do a search about it, it'll explain itself.

Good luck on whatever you choose to do.

Edit- If those two cams are still larger than you'd like, give the good ol hammer cam a try(222/222 .566 .566 114)

SLP oil pump is way overpriced. I'd go with an LS2 timing set, or something like a Rollmaster double roller. Skip the roller rockers as mentioned.

Go with Pacesetter headers. Your in florida so you don't have to worry about rust, and they flow just as well as the Jet hot's without all the costs. Just my .02 cents.
