Default can you use a th400 with 9" tail?

has anyone use the th400 with a 9" tail? What did you do for the crossmember? Were you able to shorten your stock driveshaft? I want to be able to keep the aluminum drive shaft if possible.

I didnt think they even made a 9 inch tail I thought it was eather 4 or 6 mine has the 4 inch tail on it, as for the drive shaft id scrap it its not worth even trying to reuse till you pay to get it redone put new U joints in there and everything you could buy a good one. Alu ones arnt all that great, Ive seen a couple of them twist already.
