Default what kind of tranny do i have

I have 2 93 z28s, i was told my tranny in one (feb 93 car) is a 700r4, on the shifter it reads prnDd2, and on my other 93 (which is an aug 93 car) reads prnDd21. Does my newer one have a 4l60e? whats the difference

check what gears came in the car. the 2.73 geared cars had 1st locked out. i thought all 93s had the 4l60/700r4.

didn't 93s have 2.73s or 3.08s (as opposed to the 3.23s) like all 94 + had

93 fleetwoods(and everyother B-body) were 4L60's(700r4), and 94-96 was 4L60E. I think a look at the throttle body, and if it has a TV cable, would tell you.

opps. the TV cable is for the 4L60's shifting. while the 4L60E uses the TPS, MAP and PCM to do the shifting.
