you also need more stall speed to optimize that cam's powerband..

he needs a bigger stall converter in order to place the engine in the powerband of the cam. 3,500 is not enough, the car will flash roughly to 3,700 rpm or so and then go...which is way below where this cam turns on. also the shift extension will play a role, as the 3,500 will fall back farther than a larger stall.

my 4k stall on a stock motor falls back to 5,100-5,200 with 6,100 rpm shift points...this would be more suitable for the ms3 cam. it also flashes slightly above 4k. if i was to compare 1/8 mile times with this guy, i bet they'd be close...and i am still on stock heads and cam. get more stall and watch those times drop.

7.73 @ 87.2

timeslip

the car bobbled on the 2-3 shift, which is why the 1/4 trap is down, as well as the 1/8. the car trapped 109+ BEFORE the tune. the tune dropped over .1 off of my 1/8 and 1/4 with LESS mph. i just need to get the mfer to shift right...

you'll easily go 11.8x with a bigger stall and good hook.

yes

if you already have 323s, just get a 4400 stall and call it a day...that is unless you have any plans of spraying, in which case i would suggest an n2o 4k stall.

time looks nice, I'm hoping for a nice 11 second time slip next weekend. Then this winter I have a Yank SS4000E to install along with some suspension and hopefully a 12 bolt to hit low 11s on.
