Default Why port the throttle body

How can you tell if your throttle body needs porting after a head and cam swap. If you use about a 400rwhp setup will the stock TB be enough?

well if you look the blade doesn't even open fully and you can just make it flow better... the more power you make the more you can benefit from smoothing out the airflow

increased air intake, increased throttle response and as mentionned "the bump stop mod" to fully open the TB blade...

I could tell because when we tuned my car, my MAP sensor was getting a lower reading than we wanted. So that meant we needed to open up the intake. LS6 intake and ported TB did wonders.

The guy that tuned my HC car has tuned hundreds of these and he thinks a ported TB will help. Good enough for me.
