Default 30th anniversary or firehawk?

i recently put a firehawk hood on my car and now there is a gap between the hood and the middle of the bumper. I heard if you put a emblem there it will cover the gap. I dont have a real firehawk but my car is a 1999 so i wanted to put a 30th anniversary badge there. Does anyone know if the badge is wide enough to cover the gap, or am i better off getting a firehawk emblem.

Its not a true anniversary car(white with blue stripes). The Firehawk emblem was meant to go there it will clear that gap right up.

His car isnt a firehawk either, I'd go with the 30th since your cars a 99, that is if it will fit.

i really want to do the 30th anniversary and it would be hard to find a pontiac arrow that big not to mention my paint scheme is blck and silver although it still might look cool. All i need to know is how wide the 30th ann badge is.

Just get the hawk emblem, if you have a hawk hood I dont think people are going to be freaking out about the emblem and not mentioning the hood if they say your trying to impersonate the car. Just dont get the 'Firehawk' on the side!

O i would never dream of putting the firehawk on the side. Im not worried about what other people think. I just think it would look cool and different with a 30th anniversary badge. Im trying to figure out the measurements and if it doesnt fit right ill just go with the hawk emblem.

REAL 30th Anniv. emblems are HUGE because they are made for the doors...

BUT you could do what I did on my 1999 Trans-Am (not a true 30th but same year so who gives a f@wk)... I was going for the Blackbird look with the side emblems on the fenders:

They don't make emblems that size but I bought a keychain off ebay (actually I bought three, one for each side and then a keychain to keep as a keychain) that was engraved metal (nicer than the factory door emblems actually), took a dremel to the key chain loop, put some 3M double-sided tape on the back and had me a fender emblem !

Now, if I were you I would get the Firehawk emblem, grind off the Firehawk logo, get it re-painted the color of you car and then stick my style 30th Anniv. emblems (the keychain) on it and stick that on the nose...

It'll be a custom 30th Anniv. emblem MADE to fit the nose perfect (the Firehawk nose piece isn't just flat if I remember correctly, it's L-shaped to fill the gap...)!

Also, my friend who bought the car when I moved had a 30th Anniv. hatpin (bough from the same company) turned into a cool shiftknob:

That plus some factory 30th Anniv. floormats (they have the symbol embroidered very nicely in the corners) and you'll have a nice UNIQUE tribute...

Get the firehawk emblem, shave off the hawk logo. Paint it to match and put a vinyl firebird on it. It will look good. I can almost promise.

Afterthoughtsauto has the primered hawk nose pieces
